Partnering with Nourishing Neighbors to fight hunger in our community

8/12/21

Imagine having to worry about when your next meal will be or not knowing what you can feed your children for dinner. Unfortunately, that is the reality many of our neighbors face every day. At Integral Youth Services we work to help find solutions for those in our community facing food insecurity.

We’re excited to be the recipients of a $100,000 grant from Albertson’s Foundation Nourishing Neighbors to help those in our community receive the benefits of existing federal meals programs such as SNAP, WIC, P-EBT, and free or reduced school nutrition programs.

With this grant we plan to purchase transit vans to bring our services to the rural communities and help support all of Klamath County in the effort to combat food insecurity. This new program will be called the “Mobile Hub” and will make stops both in rural communities of Eastern Klamath County and in Northern Klamath County.

We can’t thank Albertson’s Foundation enough for giving us this grant to help our neighbors. Check back on our website for more updates about this project and many more!
