Join us for a fantastic day as we kick off the Summer Lunch Program with a free, fun-filled event packed with activities!
Enjoy free food, entertainment, giveaways, and more at this community-wide celebration. We’ll have guest speakers from city officials, resources from community partners, and plenty of games for the whole family. Come out, have fun in the sun, and learn all about what activities you can participate in this summer!
The goal of the Summer Lunch Program is to meet the nutritional needs of low-income youth during the summer months by providing free USDA-sponsored lunches daily. We serve youth ages 1-18 with free meals from June to August at various distribution sites, including city and rural areas. IYS has several locations throughout the city, including library sites and neighborhood parks.
Lunch is served to youth and their families on this day from about 12-1, we do ask for patience during meal prep and that you enjoy the activities while you wait.
