What is Integral Youth Services (IYS)?
Integral Youth Services (IYS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Klamath Basin. Since 1988, IYS has provided safe housing, supportive services, and guidance to help young people build stability, independence, and a path forward.
Who does IYS serve?
IYS serves youth and young adults who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other barriers to safety and independence. Many of the individuals we serve are navigating challenging life circumstances, including family instability, foster care involvement, or limited access to resources.
What ages do your programs serve?
Our programs primarily serve youth and young adults between the ages of 10 and 24, depending on the program. Each program is designed to meet individuals where they are and provide age-appropriate support focused on safety, growth, and independence.
Do you serve youth outside of Klamath Falls?
Yes. While our programs are located in Klamath Falls, we serve youth and young adults from across Klamath County and surrounding rural areas. We understand the unique challenges of rural communities and work to support youth wherever they are coming from.
What is the Youth Shelter?
The Youth Shelter provides short-term, safe housing for youth (ages 10-17 years old) experiencing homelessness or crisis. In addition to a safe place to stay, youth receive meals, basic necessities, and supportive services to help stabilize their situation and connect them with longer-term housing and resources.
What is the Transitional Living Program (TLP)?
The Transitional Living Program provides supportive housing and services for youth and young adults working toward independence. The program includes two tracks: one serving youth experiencing homelessness and another supporting young adults transitioning out of foster care or DHS involvement. Participants receive housing, case management, life-skills training, and support focused on education, employment, and long-term stability. Participation in the program typically lasts 18 to 24 months.
What is the Maternity Group Home?
The Maternity Group Home provides safe, supportive housing for pregnant and parenting young adults. Participants receive housing, case management, and access to parenting, health, and life-skills resources to help them build stability and a healthy foundation for themselves and their children.
What programs does IYS offer?
Integral Youth Services offers a range of housing and support programs designed to meet youth and young adults where they are. Our programs include the Youth Shelter, Transitional Living Program, and Maternity Group Home. Each program provides safe housing, case management, and supportive services focused on stability, growth, and long-term independence.
How long can someone stay in your programs?
Length of stay varies depending on the program and individual needs. Emergency shelter stays are short-term, while transitional and maternity housing programs typically allow for longer stays to support stability and skill-building. The Transitional Living Program generally lasts between 18 and 24 months, depending on individual progress and goals.
Are your programs voluntary?
Yes. Participation in all IYS programs is voluntary. Youth and young adults choose to engage in services and work collaboratively with staff to set goals and build a plan that supports their individual needs and independence.
Who is eligible for services?
Eligibility varies by program but generally includes youth and young adults who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other barriers to safety and independence. Some programs serve minors (10-17), while others are designed for young adults ages 18–24. Eligibility is determined through an intake and assessment process.
How do I refer a youth or young adult?
Referrals can be made by community partners, schools, agencies, or individuals. To make a referral, please contact our office directly, and our team will help determine the most appropriate program and next steps. (541)882-2053

Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins can be accepted depending on availability and staff capacity. We recommend calling ahead whenever possible so we can best assist you and ensure appropriate services are available.
Do I need a referral from DHS or another agency?
No. A referral from DHS or another agency is not required to access most IYS programs. While we partner closely with community organizations and referral agencies, individuals may contact us directly to explore services.
What should I do if a youth is in immediate danger?
If a youth is in immediate danger or experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 right away. For non-emergency situations or concerns about a youth’s safety or housing needs, you may contact Integral Youth Services for guidance and support during business hours. Is your shelter open 24/7?
